MURI awarded The New Natrabu Cilegon as the largest Minang restaurant in the world, because it has the largest seating capacity, which is more than 1,000 seats. The restaurant also features a private helipad that can be used by guests. This has also made The New Natrabu Cilegon viral and known as the Minang Restaurant for the Sultans.
“The awarding of this world record is truly touching and proud, as well as showing how great the national resilience of the Indonesian nation is. The reason is in difficult times of this pandemic, there are still many entrepreneurs who are fighting to open up job opportunities, one of which is The New Natrabu Cilegon," said Jaya Suprana.
The New Natrabu Cilegon is a collaboration between Natrabu Restaurant and PT Bally Internasional Hotel & Convention Centre, a subsidiary of Riyadh Group Indonesia which manages the mixed-use area of Grand Mangku Putra Arcade (GMPA) Cilegon.

Furthermore, Jaya Suprana believes that the MURI award to The New Natrabu Cilegon will make the Minang restaurant a leading culinary and tourist destination, especially in Cilegon.
"As a MURI-winning restaurant, I believe The New Natrabu Cilegon will continue to create colossal and monumental programs and innovations," said the Philanthropist and Culturalist.
Meanwhile, President Director of PT Grand Mangku Putra (GMP), Tubagus Iman Ariyadi expressed his gratitude for the appreciation and awards bestowed by MURI to one of their business units, The New Natrabu Cilegon. This MURI record, he said, would be a motivation and encouragement for the entire team at The New Natrabu Cilegon, GMP, and Riyadh Group Indonesia.

“This record is an encouragement, so we can continue to innovate on services, facilities and of course the taste of the cuisine at this restaurant. This MURI record is not our short-term achievement, but in the future it will be a big challenge to keep getting better," said Tubagus Iman Ariyadi in a written statement, Friday (17/6/2022).
He explained that this achievement is also an embryo for the development of the GMPA integrated area in the future, as a number of business plans will be carried out such as the development of lifestyle mall and condotel.
Iman emphasized that the business development carried out at GMPA is expected to have a large economic impact on the surrounding community through job opportunities, and of course increasing Own-Source Revenue (PAD).
Ready to Go International
On the same occasion, President Director of Riyadh Group Indonesia, Bally Saputra Datuk Janosati said that his party had never thought of getting a MURI record. However, it turns out that MURI has been monitoring what they have been doing for the past two months at The New Natrabu Cilegon.
"Alhamdulillah, we have been running this restaurant business for two months and have been able to get this world record. Of course it is very proud and will spur us to innovate even better,” said the Honorary Consul General of Nepal for Indonesia.
Bally said that Riyadh Group Indonesia initially wanted to focus on developing the hospitality business. However, because at that time the economy was sluggish due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he then thought of collaborating to open a Minang restaurant by cooperating with Natrabu Restaurant and PT GMPA as the owner of the hotel.

“I think the GMPA location needs something new that can boost the name of the region. Something new that can be an entry point for the development of this mixed-use project in the future, especially since there are no other competing projects in Cilegon, so we have to do more,” said the Secretary of the BPO DPP Real Estate Indonesia (REI).
He added, the soft opening of The New Natrabu Cilegon itself was held on April 16, 2022, simultaneously with the opening of helicopter services in collaboration with HeliCity.
Bally revealed that MURI's record also spurred the Riyadh Group to continue to develop The New Natrabu network throughout Indonesia and abroad (go international). According to him, a number of REI members are interested in opening restaurant branches in their cities/regions.

"We will also go international by collaborating with REI members and FIABCI (International Real Estate Federation). Abroad, rental prices are very expensive, so we invite FIABCI members that have many property assets to cooperate,” said Bally enthusiastically.
In the near future, he added, The New Natrabu is setting up branches in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, New York, and London. In addition, The New Natrabu Chef Academy will be opened to educate 100 chefs that will be employed in all branches so that the taste of the cuisine can be maintained.
“We want to make The New Natrabu a gateway for tourism in West Sumatra and Indonesia. Through the Minang restaurant, we go international," Bally concluded.
